Who We Help

Investor-backed businesses

An investment usually brings a plan, a board and a reporting calendar. It does not bring the management system that makes the plan happen and the numbers easy to stand behind.

The problem

After an investment round, expectations become explicit (a plan with milestones, regular board reporting, a leadership team accountable for both), and many companies meet them through effort alone: board packs built by hand, KPIs defined differently in each report, deviations found at the same time as the board. The business may be performing, but it is hard to show that consistently and harder still to predict it.

  • 01The board pack takes days to assemble and is rebuilt from scratch each time.
  • 02The same KPI shows a different number in every report.
  • 03Deviations from the plan are discovered at the board meeting, not before.
  • 04The plan the board approved is hard to see in the work of the teams.
  • 05Forecasts rely on the judgement of one or two people.

How it works

How we approach it

01

We connect the plan to the work

The investment plan becomes quarterly priorities, OKRs and owners, so teams see their part and leadership tracks it.

02

We build one source of KPIs

Shared definitions, named owners and one executive dashboard feed the weekly meeting, monthly review and board pack.

03

We install the reporting rhythm before the board asks for it

Monthly and quarterly reviews surface deviations early, with a decision on each, and board reporting comes out of them.

What changes

A management system that makes delivery against the plan visible, predictable and easy to report.

  • One set of KPI definitions used by management and the board
  • An executive dashboard that feeds board reporting directly
  • Deviations raised and decided on before the board meeting
  • Clear accountability for each part of the plan
