Leadership Operating System: an operating cadence for leadership team meetings and executive reviews

When the weekly meeting is a round of updates, reviews are slide marathons and nobody knows where decisions are taken, the company runs on side conversations. We redesign which leadership forums exist, what each is for, what arrives before it and what leaves it as a decision, then run them with you until they hold.

The weekly leadership cadence

The problem

Signals you will recognise

  • 01The weekly leadership meeting is a round of updates that could have been an email.
  • 02Monthly and quarterly reviews take days to prepare and change nothing.
  • 03Decisions get reopened because nobody recorded who took them, or why.
  • 04Leaders hear about problems in other areas too late to help.
  • 05Commitments made in one meeting are forgotten by the next.

How it works

What we do

01

Map the current cadence

We sit in on your leadership meetings and reviews to find where the time goes and where decisions get lost.

02

Design the forums

We define the weekly meeting, monthly and quarterly reviews and decision forums, each with a purpose, agenda and owner.

03

Run them with you

We facilitate the first cycles with the CEO, prepare the review packs and set up the decision and action logs.

04

Hand over the chair

We coach the cadence owner, tighten what is not working and step back once the meetings run on their own.

Topics covered

  • Leadership team meetings
  • Monthly business review
  • Quarterly business review
  • Decision forums
  • Information flow
  • Leadership accountability

Deliverables

  • A management cadence calendar: weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • A weekly leadership meeting agenda with timings and inputs
  • Monthly business review and quarterly business review templates
  • A decision log and an action log the team actually uses
  • Clear rules on which decisions are taken where, and by whom
  • Pre-read standards: what arrives before each meeting, and when
  • Facilitation of the first cycles and coaching for the meeting owner

Typical outcome

Leadership meetings end with decisions and owners, reviews show the real state of the business, and the team holds itself to account without the CEO having to chase.

Eight to twelve weeks, so the new cadence runs through at least two monthly reviews, with scope and price fixed before we start.

How to build accountability across leadership teams

Accountability is not about blame. It is about every important outcome having one owner, a visible measure and a fixed moment when the team looks at it together.
