Francisco has spent his career inside growing companies, answering for the results rather than advising from the outside. He was the first employee at Onport and left as COO, after the company grew from around €100k to €2.5M in annual revenue and was acquired by Farfetch.
At Rovo and Assembly, as SVP of Revenue & Operations, he led more than forty people across several functions and built the commercial organisation from scratch. That is where the work of turning a plan into weekly execution stopped being theory: priorities, owners, numbers and the meetings that hold them together.
At Operating by Design he leads strategy, operations and execution: turning priorities into a plan the company can run, choosing the few KPIs that tell leadership whether it is working, tightening the processes that break as the company scales, and setting the cadence that keeps execution moving when the founder is not in the room.
At Operating by Design, Francisco connects strategy with day-to-day execution. He works on the relationship between priorities, goals, indicators, processes and owners: what the company will do this quarter, who answers for each result and which numbers tell leadership whether the plan is moving.
His role is to help leadership choose the right sequence. Before adding a process, a KPI or a meeting, it matters to understand the problem it solves, the other decisions it relies on and whether the team has the capacity to maintain it. Together with Ana, he connects the company operating system to the people who will run it, so the execution cadence survives the busiest weeks.
The perspective he brings to Insights comes from direct responsibility for teams, revenue and operations in growing companies. He approaches quarterly planning, OKRs, KPI dashboards, processes and scaling through the decisions founders and leadership teams need to make to grow without losing control.
